VETERINARIAN
East Kalimantan
Job Responsibilities
- Conducted comprehensive health evaluations, implemented preventive care strategies, provided emergency care, and managed reproductive health procedures for wildlife (especially orangutans) to ensure their overall welfare.
- Manage and support the translocation and evacuation processes of orangutans, providing guidance and adjustments to care plans according to their health and behavioral needs, and monitoring their progress toward recovery and adaptation.
- Oversee and ensure hygiene standards, monitor staff compliance with cleanliness protocols, and manage the correct application, storage, and handling of cleaning agents and equipment during release, translocation, and evacuation activities.
- Implement and promote disease prevention measures addressing health interconnections among animals, humans, and the environment, ensuring a comprehensive approach to managing potential health risks.
- Accurately record all clinical findings, treatments, and observations, prepare detailed reports on as well.
Job Requirements
- Male/Female
- Bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine
- Experience working with orangutans or in other veterinary fields
- Physically and mentally healthy
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Willing to be placed at the camp in East Kalimantan
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, is a plus
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
