Each camp is led by a Person in Charge (POC) who is responsible for coordinating daily operations. This role extends far beyond merely managing camp facilities. The POC ensures that logistical needs are met, equipment is ready for use, camp conditions remain safe, and various field activities proceed according to plan.

Every day, the POC coordinates with various team members to manage logistics distribution, monitor camp conditions, manage operational needs, and adjust work plans when facing changing weather conditions or field challenges.

A Team with Diverse Roles

Camp operations run smoothly thanks to the collaboration of many people with different areas of expertise. Technicians ensure that field equipment is ready for use, drivers and boat operators facilitate the mobility of personnel and logistics, while other support staff ensure that daily camp needs are met.

At the same time, orangutan monitoring, area patrol, and biodiversity research teams carry out their duties in the field. Despite having different responsibilities, all team members rely on one another so that every activity can take place safely, effectively, and in alignment with conservation goals.
